Paul Gaarder

This red Astilbe is possibly the only ‘real’ red Astilbe there is. What makes it extra special is that unlike many Astilbes, it has a red stem. It owes its name to its finder and descriptor: mister Paul Gaarder from Sweden. This cultivar, like its ancestor Else Schluck, gives beautiful, full looking flowers that are very uniform. Both cultivars therefore are suitable to use in elegant and modern flower arrangements.
